Bliss

For some it’s when rain comes
And swells parched, sun burnt
Land and man
Back to life
For others when rain stops
And in the wreckage
All that’s lost makes
Us all more alive
Water is life either way
Strange bliss out of tragedy

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.

  1. I feel this being written in the wake of disaster… the blessing of being alive or the bliss of being saved from drought… water can be so much both in absence and abundance
