It’s Never Going To Happen

The seriousness of laughter, the waste of fears unfound

We plan to sway disaster, only folly is unbound

This time that we are locked in with our schedules and our rules

Was it ever meant to name us and claim our every joule

I’m waiting for the age where I can lay down all my stress

To wake up in the morning and an hour later rest.

To have a plan that suits me, interruptions ne’er invade

Spend time with whoever suits me with no worries on parade

I Guess I have to face the truth that it will never be

As long as I am in this world with someone more than me.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am married, and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. My poetry is on my blog and you can find some previous stories on Medium and linked-in. My focus is hope in Christ. My desire is that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired, occasionally amused, kind, and patient to my growth in Christ as He conforms me to His image.
