Not One Is A Weed

Once upon a meadow dandelions grew
Free and wild they stood
A day’s life
That is all
Seeds caught the tail of a breeze
They still live on and on

Once upon a fragile heart words fell
But flesh and soul need time to mature
Too soon
Those words cut deep
Stole life
Shadowed from the light

Once upon a cross my Savior died
Blood flowed from every side
Atonement made
He left the grave
So all could be made beautiful and free
Never more to be known or treated as a weed is using stock phrases tonight. Once upon a time, or once upon a _______.  This November I am participating in a prayer group called breaking chains. Praying for abused victims all over the world, from human trafficking and slavery to the very common abuses we all engage in, just in our daily lives and exchange with people. Will be studying scriptures on the dignity of every human being. The color is yellow and I thought about the dandelion for some reason. It will unfold throughout the month.

Once upon a meadow…..and the seeds that gently fly with the breeze and are planted. It all flows into your statement of faith.

Nice last line. Dandelions are beautiful. I still remember seeing a whole field of them in bloom.
