A Mother’s Day Poem

A Mother’s Day Poem

Another holiday
This time for mothers
But some grieve
Some were abandoned
Some abused
Some abased
Some neglected
Perhaps she is gone
It’s too soon to celebrate again
Then there is the miscarriage
The still born
The fatal accident
The infertility
Hurt and anger
The addiction
The guilt
The brokenness
What then to celebrate
Motherhood
Without it, there is no life at all

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am married, and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. My poetry is on my blog and you can find some previous stories on Medium and linked-in. My focus is hope in Christ. My desire is that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired, occasionally amused, kind, and patient to my growth in Christ as He conforms me to His image.
