An Unlikely Garden

A small space
A jar on my table
Houses my philodendron
Water bathes it’s roots
In soil it’s breath was severed
Leaves turned sallow and withered
No sun nor shade could persuade
Water was it’s only hope
There is a place to flourish
Not always obvious to the eye

It is not in our choosing
The one who creates life
Can propagate life
I must be willing to follow

Prompt: For day 25, I am a day late. Write about a small space in my home and describe the emotional relationship, its meaning
To me.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. Recently I have begun writing a couple of blogs. One poetry and one on hope. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused. Soon to be added is another blog...writings on hope from a biblical perspective. Now it can be seen at purplepandasandotherphenomena.blogspot.com. please feel free to visit.
