March winds pelted rain upon the windows loud enough to interrupt her restful moments after a long, exhausting day. Frustrated, she sprang from her bed and bolted downstairs to see what the fuss was all about. She checked the screen doors, making sure all was secure inside, knowing whatever happened outside was completely out of her hands. The next morning the ground was clean of snow, and she thanked God for her friends who raked and hauled away her leaves in the fall as a gift of grace for no charge.
Three days later a fluffy white coat blankets the ground and she remembers the interruption and the sleep that followed. Grace makes noise and mercy falls from heaven and each morning she begins anew.
