In a Land of Nowhere

Once upon a time
(Never twice)

A royal princess dined
On blackberries over ice

She picked purple Jacaranda blossoms
Placed them in lilac-colored dishes

Convinced they gave her wisdom
Soon they tangled with her foolish wishes

And none in the castle could contain
The princess as she took domain

Thus all the Kingdom wept
For ultraviolet rays had not yet

Revealed her disobedience
And the issue was dealt with pure expedience

And still the Jacaranda blooms
And drops its leaves in season

But it’s all a fairy tale
Purple is just a color of beauty
No hidden reasons

“Your challenge today is, therefore, to write a fairy tale. It can be fictional or autobiographical. It can be based on your favorite existing fairy tale or one you conjure up yourself. Or you could tell a true story as if it were a fairy tale.
But you must use all four of the paint chip words, which are royal, jacaranda, ultraviolet, and blackberry. You can either include the angel card word or just allude to the concept of obedience (or disobedience, if you prefer).”
