Kindling makes no noise
Put in the fire
Now it has a voice
A fig leaf may cover some
Put it in the fire
Now what is your choice
Even if purple mountain majesties
Won’t stand the fire
They will still rejoice
Redemption remains the sole concern
None will quench this fire
Jesus will never lose His voice
Linking up with 2. Paint Chip Poetry with Linda Kruschke and also dversepoets.com. A little lagging lately.
Linda’s words, of which we are to use 2, (I used three), are monsoon, purple mountain majesties, fig leaf, kindling, cheese puff, hot cocoa.
dverse has no prompt on Thursday. Any poem of choice.
That fire is majestic. Thanks for joining in.

I love this. I especially like the repeating refrain in the middle of each stanza with the variation in verses 3 and 4.

I like the build up to the last stanza where none will quench the fire nor will Jesus lose His voice.
