Gluttony

Fixated on hunger
I ate everything in sight
I was in such a hurry
Nothing tasted right
Looking for satisfaction
Turned into bowel impaction
Now I’m fixed on this reaction
And my words need a retraction
Won’t someone please fix my eyes
Steer them right

dversepoets.com its Quadrille Monday 44 words excluding the title. Feeling feisty, but a serious one to follow.

Good description of food fixations. Everything from bowel impaction to nothing tasting right.

Yikes. This caused almost physical discomfort. That’s not a good feeling. Well done.

Yikes…I think sometimes when we deny ourselves a treat once in awhile, it backfires and we gorge.
