Temporal Immunity

Hauntingly silent streets
I envision Rod Sterling
Describing me by name
All I see are the signs
“CLOSED”
Then one…
“OPEN”
I drive through the car wash
Surprised, I watch how much grime
Has been carrying me
But I can’t stay here for long

dversepoets.com Quadrille Monday..and the word is “close”

So realistic! If you are like we are, your car will pick it all up as it passes out the other end. It is pollen time in NC. Yellow layers of dust!!

The streets are spooky these days.
“Surprised, I watch how much grime
Has been carrying me. . .” Such a wonderful metaphor.
Your title sounds like it could be the title of a Star Trek episode. 😀
