An Evening Announcement

Sun hurls her last ray, slowly slipping below the horizon, as a golden blanket covers her with fire’s hues. She is done with drama, and so am I. I watch as darkness gives way to a silver spoon of moonlight pouring out stars across a splattered hazy sky. The biggest news of the day is the constant. “Forget-me-not”, I hear.

Breath of fresh air
Lightening ends with smoke and ash
Squirrels feed on acorns

This week’s prompt is to write about some BIG NEWS! Please come up with something besides the coronavirus pandemic. The prompt words are acorn, golden, lightening, forget-me-not, silver spoon, breath of fresh air, and smoke and ash.

  2. I love the thought of the setting sun being “done with drama.”
