Above the Echo

Echoes bounce inside my head
Repeating all I heard and said
Cacophony of truth and lies
All compete to claim the prize
The spoil in this warrior’s fight
I stand at guard amid the plight
Aware that echo’s reverberations
Can any time spark convocations
How do I know if I be plunder
Shall I survive or be ripped asunder
My greatest hope in all I ever heard
Is Christ who IS the final Word

today at dversepoets.com the prompt is to write any form of poem using any form of echo, whether by the word, or by repeating syllables, or anything that may signify an echo.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.

If you were to leave me,
    walk out of my life
    I would mind.

A lot of sacrifices need to be accorded by both if they are in a relationship. More so in a a marriage situation.

It is difficult to sort out truth and lies. I’m not a Christian, nor religious, but I’m glad it works for you.
