Blessed With Excess

Strawberries spill over into every taste bud
Magnolia and Cherry blossom drench my eyelids
Thunder pealing across an evening sky lulls me to sleep
Soft sunlight softens my bleached winter skin
The morning whispers fragrance of a leftover rain
Earth shares its riches

Today at dVersepoetspub.com it is Quadrille Monday. The word is rich, or any form of.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.

  1. Great title and beautiful poem. I thought of “my cup runneth over.”

Your quadrille appeals to all the sense, Mary, and reminds me of the strawberries I had with my yogurt this morning!
