Imaginary Kisses

What is it about a kiss
Imagined in dreams
Longed for, tasted
Even remembered
Years later realized
It saved your very life
Because it never was
Keep It Simple Stupid?
Impossible
Every kiss makes
All else complex
A precursor
To an elusive tangled web

dVersepoetspub.com quadrille Monday…exactly 44 words, excluding the title. The prompt sir is ‘Kiss’.  A little different than my usual for this whimsical Valentines day.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.

    Complexity in kisses…..mmmmmmm yes!
And a precursor to a tangled web….well, all tangles are not negative, right? “Oh what a tangled life we lead….” yep. No matter the life, the happiness, the love, the kisses and all….life is an entanglement of people, expectations, and occurences. May we all love our way through it with an abundance of complex kisses! 🙂
