Telling Dreams

A million dreams ago
There was one…
Who pays mind to dreams
When living is to be done?

Robins come when stream songs can’t be heard
And darkness shadows colors of the dawn
Temperatures, though inching up
Still cower to the friendly touch
Recede and rise as oceans ebb and flow

Harbingers come softly…a glance
Sometimes elusive…a trance
Appearing out of place…in a dream
Forerunners of a bigger, better scheme

So don’t evade the common nor the scarce
You may just have to learn to dance the dance
And let the season season you and teach you all the steps
One day the dream of years ago will all make sense

Too late for the prompt link up. Maybe I shall get another chance,

Harbinger.

beautiful! I love the rhythms and rhyme–and it still makes sense. I really love these 2 lines: “You may just have to learn to dance the dance/ And let the season season you and teach you all the steps…” ❤
