I was more or less alone today, I thought…
Just paying mind to what I needed to do…or not
Kaleidoscopes took my ears and eyes
Lured me on a journey into other people’s lives
Marinating words I heard…with mine
Now I’m left to decide…what is truth or lies

Separating Seasons

Fall is playing peek-a-boo, a
Game it plays with us each year
Hovering midst the sun and shadow
I feel her inching oh so near
Jostling through summer’s remnants
Kissing her goodbye today suggests a sestet. First time hearing of this one. A six line poem, each line a letter, but in alphabetical order. I offer two!

I like them both, although they are very different. The image of autumn playing “peekaboo” is so right on.

I enjoyed the pondering thoughts in the first and Fall playing peek-a-boo in the second, with some lovely word choices. I especially like ” Jostling through summer’s remnants”.

  11. I like the thought of separate truth from what false… too many don’t even acknowledge that it’s hard…

  12. I really love them both! The kaleidoscope of other people’s truths, and then the last kiss fall gives to summer. Gorgeous!
