One’s Goodbye

You cannot hear
Words drop
From my lips like hail stones
Slamming on deaf ears
Too late will they melt
Onto withered grass
That could have been green
All that is left are tears

dVersepoetspub.com. Thursday prompt. Open link night. Any poem will do so this is one I wrote months back. Sorry, I am late. Good time for a break

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.

    I like the “hail stones
Slamming on deaf ears” and that hail not melting in time to help the withered grass.
