Reflections

When I look into a mirror I am staring back at me. We are both facing forward, yet backward. Things behind my image are in front of me, yet behind me. When I take a selfie, it comes out opposite. I thought my head was leaning to the right. I am always a bit thrown back that it is leaning to the left. Opposing views all stem from a distorted view of the world and everything in it. The human lens affects all the senses. None can be fully trusted.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am married, and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. My poetry is on my blog and you can find some previous stories on Medium and linked-in. My focus is hope in Christ. My desire is that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired, occasionally amused, kind, and patient to my growth in Christ as He conforms me to His image.

Nice description of looking forward and backward when one looks in the mirror. I hadn’t thought of that before.

That mirror image and selfie can be quite confusing, I agree ~ We really see the world from our own lens and viewpoint ~ I can’t imagine winter now as its full on summer here ~
