From Inside Out

The angry
Filled with rage
No one comes near
To touch would burn
Leaving a scar

The fearful
A trembling one
Slow and rhythmic
Sensing all the fragility
Carefully safeguarded

The broken
A sieve
Collecting only shattered pieces
All else like wind
Weightless…untethered

The Proud
Garish and tatty
Too good to hold anything
Sitting alone
His worth thought more displayed than stained

The free
Children spilling laughter
As sunshine drenches them
Mingled together overflowing
Strength is forged

Glo/napowrimo.net day 14 prompt. If I was to dream of a teacup (without seeing a teacup) Since dreams are more figurative I would dream of people, as vessels. Scripture says we are vessels. We hold things, and pour out what is inside.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.
