An Awakening

First to a silhouette against winter’s backdrop
With every new life I come alive
The two of us in full swing

Lillian at dVerse wants us to take the energy of the Spring season and write a sunny-side up poem,  fun,  possibilities, whatever inspires us from one of her pictures posted.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.

Oh Mary….wish you could be sitting here with me right now — that way you could have heard the audible sigh that was uttered at the end of your poem. LOVE IT! Spring in full swing……….let it be!!!! And you’ve done the image so well with your words….from the silhouette to full swing. Thanks so much for doing the prompt….and for using this image which was one of my favorites!

Nice reference to “full swing” at the end and the coming alive.

‘Spring opens our eyes slowly” – lovely line to start your poem – it really sets the tone!
