All of Me To Grow Again

I wrote a letter
To my former self
Still a child
Stilled the fears
Started in her
Continued in me

Together learned
This reconnect
Could narrow
The void that kept
Us apart
It’s okay to trace and face
Let Jesus heal
And restore again

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. Recently I have begun writing a couple of blogs. One poetry and one on hope. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused. Soon to be added is another blog...writings on hope from a biblical perspective. Now it can be seen at please feel free to visit.

    Nice poem,

Are you going backwards in time? Physicists would pay a fortune to see that!

It sounds like a good idea to write to our past selves to help us better understand ourselves now.

  5. Oh, what an insightful poem….loved this totally!

  6. I love this idea, Mary. Maybe a second letter from Jesus to that precious child (who is still within us).
We hope you will continue to join us at dVerse–I know you will enrich us and, I hope, be enriched by our very caring community.

Sometimes we forget that connection with our inner child. A source of creativity and wonder, but also the holder of fears. Nicely written, Mary. 🙂

  9. Thank you Olga. Lovely name. Holy and blessed. Enjoying your posts.
