A Poem About Faith, A Gift

Faith is not what you do
Rather what you possess
You can’t make more
you can’t have less

Jesus gives you a measure
A gift when you surrender
Revealed like a hidden treasure
It’s yours forever

It grows stronger as you weaken
It remains when all else falls
Pain may move foundations
But faith is not shaken, not at all

It works you like a Potter’s wheel
Molds and shapes the lifeless clay
It works within you to transform
The way you live your life each day

If I had power over faith that’s given
If by my will fate and feelings befall
Christ wouldn’t be my Savior risen
It never was real faith at all

  1. I absolutely love this: “It works you like a Potter’s wheel
Molds and shapes the lifeless clay
It works within you to transform
The way you live your life each day.”

What a gift, friend. So glad I stopped by. Fills my soul this morning. #fmf #31
