One Day’s Grace

Routine just wasn’t going to do
Charlatan and paper doll couldn’t pull any strings today
Disconnection, no detection drew me to no sure direction
Like the dove o’er troubled waters showing me no place to land
Sorrow waking with me on that morn
Something in the nighttime, e’en in asking churned a storm
But in the midst of winds you led my feet
You knew exactly who’d I’d chance to meet
My troubled mind will ne’er distract you to defeat

Prompt: A 9 line poem. It’s a day late.

Sometimes I have to live it first.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. Recently I have begun writing a couple of blogs. One poetry and one on hope. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused. Soon to be added is another blog...writings on hope from a biblical perspective. Now it can be seen at please feel free to visit.
