Uncovered

A letter taken by the wind

Dances on my lawn

Lures me

A foreign language I do not know

Maybe Norwegian or russian

Crumbled up, dampened by the rain

Ink smeared

Thrown perhaps in anger

Or a broken heart

And it all returns

I live it again

A million years gone by

And one look out my window

Bings it all back

How a memory can stir the soul

It was a Spring rain then, too.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. Recently I have begun writing a couple of blogs. One poetry and one on hope. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused. Soon to be added is another blog...writings on hope from a biblical perspective. Now it can be seen at purplepandasandotherphenomena.blogspot.com. please feel free to visit.
