Connection

I see the winding road ahead, I can’t turn back
So I continue on as forgotten words I now recall
Trying to drown them out with the singing birds

The road winds and follows a foreign path
And the birdsong could be a fiendish bawl
Each shrill mocking and reminding me my forgotten words

Or words forgotten that set me on the winding road
Maybe gives melody to the singing birds
Making no lack

-Yesterday’s prompt (4-14)…3 images with certain rhyming patterns. Not easy!
