Be careful, your amunition
Know its strength to kill or maim
Before you focus on your captor
Test its backfire before you aim

Honesty is good
But in the effort to be known
Temper all your words with grace
Lest they harden o’er as stone

Oh, the tongue’s a deadly weapon
Words destroy when meant to heal
And you can both become the wounded
Under the guise of being real

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.
