Knowing Enough

I know more today than yesterday

Except where I put my umbrella

And did I write down her name and number

Or leave the lights on in the cellar

I remember the conversation

At least part of it I can recite

Was it she who said it or me who read it

Well what does it matter, its not worth a fight

I still know my name and my family

Although some names I sometimes confuse

Its all in my brain, I may seem insane

But please stop giving me clues

I know more today than yesterday

I learn more and more each day

And when morning arrives, again I’ll survive

As long as this memory pervades

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. Recently I have begun writing a couple of blogs. One poetry and one on hope. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused. Soon to be added is another blog...writings on hope from a biblical perspective. Now it can be seen at please feel free to visit.
