Talking With Myself

Myself–I ‘m awake, I can tell

Suddenly aware of my surroundings

All night drifting to places I’ve never been

But there I know. It’s all so comforting, you see?

Myself–Here is your reality, at least for the time

Make the most of it, try not to whine

You were created to live here, touch here, be here

This is what matters, not there

Myself–But here is crumbling around me and din just drowns me

So I want to escape all that surrounds me

Myself–Oh, for a moment think of who you are

Silence your words and feed me

There is another, we both know so well

Who is separate and whole if the truth is to tell

Myself–It is good to talk through this dilemma I’m in

Christ brings me together with me again

And when in agreement, in a peaceful encounter

Ready I am to engage with  another
