Fleeting Optimism

Looked out my window

What did I see

Remnants of Winter

Glimpses of Spring

Temperatures rising

Still a chill in the air

But heavy coats gone

Till sun disappears

We put snow blowers and shovels

Far enough away

Just in case Spring

Should decide not to stay

I see neighbors in yards

Raking up debris

Between the snow patches

Too stubborn to leave

There’s the bluest of sky

All is in transition

Just waiting for the season

to come to fruition

And e’en as I dream

Of all flowers in bloom

The forecast tomorrow

May make skiers swoon

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. Recently I have begun writing a couple of blogs. One poetry and one on hope. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused. Soon to be added is another blog...writings on hope from a biblical perspective. Now it can be seen at purplepandasandotherphenomena.blogspot.com. please feel free to visit.
