Goin’ Home

When I’m troubled

Lose my peace;

When I wander off unleashed.

I look around

I touch, I taste

And soon I’m right back

Where I started;

When life left me brokenhearted.

Isn’t this the place He found me

Saved me, wrapped His arms around me.

His grasp still strong;

Will not let go;

I wait for Him to again remind me

Untangling lies that confine me.

Sometimes silence is a friend

Wait and see what’s round the bend

He knows my state

Hears my plea

And in the quiet I am listening

More aware of sin’s enticing

The choice is mine to stand or fall

He will not force me come or stall.

He paid my ransom;

Shed His blood;

His thoughts of me will never waver

Why should I not please my savior.
