Loves Sweet Surprise

What do you do when you look inside,

Where there was fear and it’s no longer there;

There’s been a change;

You’re rearranged;

Something is new;

Yet all around is the same;

Circumstances haven’t changed.

Jesus, you know the countless prayers,

Oceans of tears,

Burying the pain,

denying the shame;

Living with what I cannot tame.

And I call it a miracle,

But that’s a word you do not know.

To you there is no miracle;

It’s just who you are and what you know.

Pain is hard when it lingers on;

Lessons to learn

Sometimes burn

And leave you torn

How sweet when a burden’s gone.

The day arrives;;

You realize

Scales are dropped from your eyes

And I want you to explain the miracle

But that’s a word you do not know

To you there is no miracle,

It’s just who you are and what you know.

And maybe all won’t see it full

I still need grace to fill this place

Familiar ground

Turned upside down

Will reveal what I’ve found

And some will say a miracle

But that’s a word you do not know

To you there are no miracles

It’s just who you are and what you know.
