Dawn after Dark

It is good to see the morning after a stressful night
of restless dreams and wandering thoughts
that can’t be put to flight

It is good to be in daylight when you can sing aloud
of lovingkindness and pardon
From a merciful God

He is my stronghold and a refuge in distress
And when the dawn is breaking through
That’s when He shows it best

Our first gift is in the morning Oh don’t let it escape
Breathe it in before your rising
And you will change it’s shape

And when the evening comes again and troubles enter in
No matter what the day has brought
There’s hope the sun will shine again.

I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused. Soon to be added is another blog...writings on hope from a biblical perspective.
