The Whole is the Sum of the Parts

Male with clever byline,

avoids menial tasks,
Able to do many things and
no enemies in sight.
Not a layman but hard to label
blame others when they whine.

My garden is eclectic,
a ballet of ambling plants,
elm and yew and mint and lime
trapped amid bales of straw,
eyeballs watching.

My version in contrast

One Dimension

Male with nothing to say

Everything he does is insignificant

Very easy to read

His garden is in perfect symmetry

No chaos there

Herbs in a row easily accessed

Cannot see with his own eyes.

About Mary (tqhousecat)

I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I love Jesus and sharing my faith through written words. I currently have a poetry blog and also write on medium.com. My main focus is hope in Christ. I only wish that whoever reads this will be blessed, inspired and occasionally amused.
